Jasmine Marie Gonzalez
Digital Developer and Audio Designer
 

I am currently a Digital Developer at the Science Museu in London. Prior to this role, I was a Technician, which involved working with audio and visual technologies throughout the museum, and specialized in implementation of AV, Consoles and PCs in Power up, an interactive gallery about video games. I have over 10 years of experience working within various creative and technical settings.

In 2022 a Master's degree in Creative Technology in London, gaining expertise in audio technology, Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), alongside experience as a Technical Expert with Apple. Prior to this, I built a career in content creation, streaming music performances and gaming content on Twitch as JazzyRiko, and collaborated with Bridgeset Sounds, a music business in Philadelphia, PA on live-streamed content during the Covid-19 pandemic.

My background also includes undergraduate work at Temple University, where I studied Music Therapy, and contributed to the launch of the Apple-authorized technology store OwlTech and deepened my understanding of audio technology through the Boyer Electro-Acoustic Ensemble Project.

Projects + Activities

Power Up, The Science Museum: Tested Gaming PCs, Consoles and Games implemented in gallery. Documented processes and created troubleshooting guides and manuals for Consoles and PCs within the gallery. Project management in implementing the various technologies exhibited in this gallery.

 

Limit Break Mentorship: Participated in a game development mentorship program for underrepresented people working in the UK; Mentored by professionals in the industry with a focus on audio design.

 

Boyer Electroacoustic Ensemble Project: Participated in an ensemble that uses the laptop orchestra model, an ensemble of MIDI and acoustic instruments to perform across Temple University and the city of Philadelphia.

 

Symphony for a Broken Orchestra: an exhibition of the broken instruments, an unconventional musical score inspired by “the cacophony of the Philadelphia schools’ imperfect instruments” and a fundraiser to “adopt” an instrument to support

Project Philly: A non-profit organization dedicated to the education and promotion of a cappella music in the Philadelphia area. Performed, led rehearsals and wrote numerous original arrangements.

 

Twitch Streaming: Streamed music performances, live music compositions, and gaming content on twitch for 2 years, attaining affiliate status and maintaining a consistent monthly income and audience as a freelance content creator
